Interior Roads Ltd., Central Cariboo Division, has employment opportunities for 5 Heavy Duty Mechanics.

These positions are offered to ticketed journeymen heavy duty mechanics that can show the appropriate qualifications and experience with mechanical maintenance for equipment utilized in the Road and Bridge Maintenance industry. Consideration will be given to second, third or fourth year apprentices who also can prove that they qualify for these positions. The successful candidates will be skilled and experienced technicians who are self motivated, production oriented and capable of working on a variety of trucks and equipment under the supervision of the senior tradesman.

For consideration for this position applicants should have the following qualifications:

• Trade Journeyman Certificate in Heavy Duty Mechanics. Experience or certification in automotive mechanics, hydraulics, onboard computers, and welding will be considered an asset.
• B.C. drivers license with positive driving record. Class 3 with air will be considered an asset.
• Up to date technical knowledge acquired through trade related courses.
• CVIP Certification or willingness to acquire it.
• Experience in preventative maintenance.
• Good knowledge of trade related worksite safety and willingness to follow a program.
• Knowledge of International and Caterpillar products preferred.
• Physically fit and capable of performing all job related requirements.
• Must be willing to relocate to the Williams Lake area.

Remuneration and benefits package will be in accordance with the current BCGEU collective agreement.
